Milton Diaz Perez has over 30 years of experience in the development of strategic technology, product, and business plans and the improvement of engineering and product organizations. A CTO and consultant, Milton has worked with companies exploring the use of interactive technologies, social platforms, digital media, and mobile applications. A particular interest is the rapid evolution of social media and its impact on commerce and society; he has worked with clients such as Kamehameha Schools and Hawai’i Gas on social media issues and the selection and deployment of digital media technologies.
Milton is the CTO for Broadband iTV, a Honolulu-based startup founded in 2001 that developed systems for the delivery of user-generated content to digital cable TV. BBiTV has evolved into an Intellectual Property company holding nine U.S. and international patents, with 13 patents pending, for which Milton is the sole author.
As the SVP of Engineering and Network at StarMedia Network, he was responsible for all software development, product engineering, and technical operations for the largest network of Internet portals serving Latin America. His teams of engineers and operations personnel in New York, Brazil and Spain developed innovative proprietary content management, web application serving, ad serving, user tracking, web reporting, and ad targeting systems.
Milton lives in the San Francisco Bay Area with his wife and two dogs and his interests include theater, music, and Late Medieval and Early Renaissance Art.
