PRIVATE LIFE VARIATIONS

Private Life Variations is a meditation on loss from many points of view.
A soldier, his comrades and his companion shift in emotionally charged, abstract flashbacks. This short observes the waiting, the experience & the aftermath of coming home.

Private Life Variations was shot by Lindsay Gauthier and edited by Loren R. Robertson Productions and features Private Freeman, Derek Harris, Kerry Mehling & Andrew Merrell.

Private Life Variations has been screened at the following festivals:
- San Francisco Dance Film Festival 2015
- San Francisco’s Tiny Dance Film Festival 2016, presented by detour dance


And will be screened during: 
- NORTHWEST SCREENDANCE EXPOSITION 2016 (October 11) 
- The 40 NORTH Dance Film Festival 2016 in San Diego (October 15, 20, 22)  
- USF's Student Concert (November 17, 18, 19)  




IF ONLY 

As part of this year's San Francisco Dance Film Festival Co-Lab, Deborah Slater was selected to work with filmmaker Hervé Cohen to create a short dance film in a week! They had 3 days to shoot and 3 days to edit! Join us on October 23 for the screening, a behind-the-scenes look at the process and an onstage Q&A.
