There are millions of stories to be told about how we survived the global pandemic of 2020, as well as its ongoing impact. In the Presence of Chaos is a workshop that provides space to explore the legacy of those first two years. It includes movement, storytelling and somatic approaches. Participants discover common and divergent experiences, gaining a better understanding of how this global event has been imprinted on our lives and world. The fees for the workshops will be donated to the California Healers Network, a statewide group of healing practitioners who reimagine public safety by uplifting the emotional, spiritual, physical and psychological health and wellness of all poor and BIPOC communities.

Facilitated by:

• Deborah Slater -- director/choreographer/performer, who has worked in dance & theater for over 40 years. She is the Artistic Director of Deborah Slater Dance Theater.
• Tammy Johnson -- an intersectional equity consultant, somatics coach, dancer, producer, culture keeper, and godmother extraordinaire
• René Benavides -- a designer, facilitator, somatic coach & bodyworker whose career demonstrates a long held commitment to educational freedom and healing justice

All workshops are sliding scale admission: $1-$15
